Explore animal needs and adaptations that match physical characteristics of their environment while we drive home many basic principles of ecology as well.

WARNING! ANIMALS SCRATCH, BITE AND SPREAD DISEASE! Our most popular safari for upper grades helps students to see beyond the myths of our perceptions about the dangers of many animals. Students will learn the honest, scientific truths about spiders, snakes, alligators, and other dangerous animals. Join us at your own risk!
Silly Safaris Rainforest*
Since we can't go there, we'll build one using your students and our animals. Students become the plants necessary to build all four rainforest layers. We explore animals and unique features of each layer. The Silly Safaris Rainforest teaches students the importance of resources by bringing the concepts of biodiversity a little closer to home.

Silly Safaris Endangered Species*
The Dodo Bird, the Passenger Pigeon, and the Saber-toothed Tiger are no longer endangered - They're extinct. Students who go on this Not-So-Silly Safari discover what makes an animal endangered and how we can protect them. Using the success stories of the American alligator and the black-footed ferret, we apply the lesson learned to situations of today. Sadly, it all comes down to money.
